Moon Calendar
A monthly Moon calendar built from live ephemeris: today’s lunar phase and lunar-day number, the sign the Moon is currently in, void-of-course windows for the whole month, and the next eclipse on the horizon. State-language: what each phase invites, not what it forbids.
Phases as four invitations
New Moon: name a seed. First Quarter: meet the resistance honestly. Full Moon: see clearly, release if needed. Last Quarter: simplify. The calendar marks each transition with the exact local time and a short framing in your language.
Void-of-Course windows
When the Moon makes its last major aspect before changing sign, it goes "void of course" — a window when initiated actions tend to peter out without follow-through. Useful to know for signing contracts, sending important emails or starting things you want to last.
Eclipses & lunar days
Each calendar shows the next solar and lunar eclipse with date, sign and visibility note. Lunar days are numbered 1-30 from the new Moon — useful for traditional and Vedic ritual systems. Click any day for the deeper reading.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the calendar in my time-zone?
Yes. Phases and void-of-course windows are converted to your browser time-zone automatically. Eclipses also show local visibility notes (whether you can see them from where you are).
Should I really avoid signing contracts during void-of-course?
Tradition says actions started during void-of-course tend to fizzle. Many practitioners simply prefer non-void windows for important commitments. It is a cultural-astrological convention, not a hard rule.
What is the difference between lunar day and Moon phase?
Phases are continuous — new, waxing, full, waning. Lunar days are discrete numbers 1-30 starting at the new Moon, used in Vedic and Russian-Slavic traditions with specific meanings per day.
